The project proposal delves into the expansion of the Aventura West Hospital wing, a task laden with strict regulations and codes specific to healthcare typology. Informed by nursing theories, I placed a strong emphasis on creating emotionally supportive spaces for patients, families, and staff. This endeavor entails crafting a creative and functional design that harmonizes with the existing building context while addressing the intricate complexities inherent in healthcare facilities, tailored to meet the unique needs of the Aventura community. The design intent is to foster meaningful relationships and provide a space that champions efficiency, functionality, and the well-being of both patients and care providers.
